Before you leave for the Airport:

Do not let family or friends tell others about your travel plans. This is for the protection of your home while you are away.

Pack your own bags.

Label your luggage with your name and address.

Be sure to arrive well before your departure time.

Take appropriate government-issued photo ID such as a photo ID, or a passport.

Pack all sharp objects such as scissors or pocket knives in your checked luggage instead of in carry-on bags.

Keep your bags and personal items with you at all times. Do not carry items on board for anyone you do not know.

Pack your carry-on bag so it will help you avoid unnecessary delays at security checks and so that they can fit in the overhead compartment or under seats on planes.

Do not wrap gifts. Security personnel may need to inspect them.

Never pack aerosols, household cleaners or other potentially dangerous goods.

At the Airport:

Keep your photo ID handy.

Clearly identify your luggage with your name and address.

Keep your eyes on your baggage.

Electronic devices will be examined at security check, so make sure your laptop computer and cell phone are working.

When on board:

Follow aircrew's instructions.

Remember to turn off electronic devices such as cell phones as they can interfere with aircraft instruments.
