Montreal skiing facilities include downhill and cross-country trails. The mountains around Montreal are known as one of Canada's major alpine regions. They are some of the oldest in the world, and present some of the most challenging terrain for skiers.

Some of the best skiing areas in the region include Mont Tremblant, Owl's Head, Mont Orford, and Gray Rocks. Together these facilities provide hundreds of ski runs.

Snow conditions for Montreal skiing are very favorable. Skiing conditions vary dramatically around the region because elevation, especially in the mountains. The average snowfall for Mont Tremblant is 367cm (144in), Owl's Head 457cm (180in), and Mont Orford 1016cm (400in).
